Founded in 2020 by designer Eleni Kavvada — whose date of birth the label’s name reflects — 240791ek operates along two creative directions: haute couture and ready-to-wear. The couture line features one-of-a-kind, handcrafted pieces distinguished by polymorphic, sculptural constructions.
The garment presented here, a sculptural pair of trousers completed in April 2024, encapsulates the designer’s signature techniques. Made of tulle, fiberglass, and stitched pouches filled with dried flowers, it required approximately one week to complete. The designer personally oversaw every stage of its creation, from concept development to the final stitching. The garment’s base pattern was later produced exclusively for archival purposes.
