Serapis

Founded in 2014, Serapis is a hybrid artistic entity that operates between the fields of art and fashion. Drawing inspiration from the sea and its related industries, it merges spiritual imagery and maritime narratives with a practice that reveals what is typically hidden. The grey cotton knitted football jersey presented here is from the Autumn/Winter 2024 collection Rites of Care, which explores rituals of production and the stories of the brand’s close collaborators. Silkscreen prints featuring the “srpsmrtm” mark, the SERAPIS logo, and the monogram “S” decorate the chest, while the “Giota” motif—derived from a cracked sticker at the entrance of Giota’s production unit—is embossed across the garment’s surface.
