Uniformed Bodies is a collective publication that seeks to explore the sartorial element of the uniform. Twenty-three contributors from diverse fields — fashion designers, visual artists, dress historians, museologists, photographers, curators, theorists, performers, researchers, and legal scholars — engage in a dialogue with the various aspects and functions of this distinctive clothing category. Different types of uniforms and the issues they evoke are highlighted and reinterpreted through texts and works of various media, forms, and temperaments.
